2. Create Your Own Pickleball Court

One of the best things about pickleball is that it’s relatively simple to set up a pickleball court – whether that's in your driveway or on a tennis court. With a few supplies like a portable pickleball net, painters’ tape, and measuring tape, you can create your own temporary pickleball court just about anywhere.

Check out our blog for all the details on how to set up your own pickleball court.

3. Set up a Pickleball Court on a Tennis Court

If you already have tennis courts in your neighborhood or local community, you may be surprised to find that pickleball court lines have already been added to these tennis courts.

If not, you can set up your own temporary pickleball court on tennis courts using a few supplies. Check out our video on how to play pickleball on a tennis court for more details.

4. Research Pickleball Associations

State and national pickleball associations are great places to find pickleball courts, lessons, leagues and more.

USA Pickleball, the national governing body for the sport of pickleball in the U.S., offers a local court and game-finding app called Pickleheads. It’s a great app for finding places to play and groups to play with wherever you are in the U.S.

5. Join a Private Pickleball Club

If you’re ready to get serious about pickleball, reach out to your local private pickleball, tennis and racket clubs.

These clubs are the perfect places to create a pickleball community with people in your city. Most private clubs require membership, though some allow non-members to play for an extra fee.

6. Call Your Local Parks and Recreation Departments

Explore your local parks and recreation department website, or give them a call, to find local public pickleball courts in your city. Many parks and recreation centers also offer programs and lessons for pickleball players.

7. Search Google & Google Maps

Google and other search engines are great for researching courts near you! Make sure to explore reviews and photos to learn about the courts, reservation requirements (if applicable) and high-volume playing times before you go.

8. Explore Social Media Pickleball Groups

The pickleball community is booming throughout the U.S.! Look for local pickleball groups on social media channels like Facebook to meet other players, find opportunities to play, and get insider tips on courts, teams, lessons and more.
