Daniil Medvedev’s Racquet Gets an Upgrade in the New Tecnifibre T-Fight 305

Everything You Need to Know About the New Tecnifibre T-Fight 305

What tennis racquet does Daniil Medvedev play with?

Daniil Medvedev is one of the most talked about players on the pro tour. The 6-foot 6-inch Russian has a crushing backhand, a huge serve, and a fiercely unique personality to match. His rather unorthodox style of play makes him an imposing adversary for even the “Big 3” players (Nadal, Djokovic and Federer). Since 2016, Medvedev has been sponsored by French tennis racquet manufacturer Tecnifibre (now owned by LaCoste). As a Tecnifibre ambassador, Daniil Medvedev’s racquet of choice is the Tecnifibre T-Fight 305. On the court, Medvedev’s tennis racquet can be seen crushing flat backhands, slapping powerful forehands, and serving up aces in any spot he chooses. Medvedev has already upgraded to the new Tecnifibre T-Fight 305, but the other T-Fight pro players won’t make the switch until January 2023.

What’s new in the Tecnifibre T-Fight 305?

Building on the success of the previous model, the new T-Fight 305 weighs 10.75 ounces (305 grams) and features a 98-square inch head, 27-inch length, and 18x19 string pattern. In comparison to an 18x20 string pattern, the more open 18x19 string pattern offers better access to both power and spin. Tecnifibre made several updates to the new T-Fight 305 – designed in conjunction with Daniil Medvedev at the company’s lab in Paris, France. The new Medvedev tennis racquet features Tecnifibre’s signature Isoflex technology in the frame. The primary benefit of the T-Fight 305 Isoflex is that it provides a more forgiving sweet spot for off-center hits. The new T-Fight 305’s frame geometry was designed to achieve Medvedev’s desire for balance. The top of the frame is slightly squared off for maximum control, while the other parts of the frame feature an elliptical shape for maximum power. Tecnifibre’s product team describes it as “…the perfect mix. Powerful to hit winners, but stable at ball impact.”

Should I try the new Tecnifibre T-Fight 305?

Considered an “all-around performance” racquet by Tecnifibre, the T-fight 305 is ideal for intermediate to advanced level players wanting controllable power and stability. Its string pattern and balance point make it a great choice for players with fast swing speeds and long swing strokes. If you’re looking for a racquet that feels perfectly balanced with an equal distribution of power, stability, precision and feel, try the new T-Fight 305.
